What are we getting ourselves into?

A few weeks ago, we officially joined the Florida Brewer’s Guild. This may not seem like that big a deal, but for us, it’s a pretty neat thing to be a part of.

Why?

I’m glad you asked.

FBG, a short history:

  • Founded in 1996 by Tampa-area brewers
  • Responsible for increasing bottle size standards in 1999

and, perhaps, most importantly,

  • Worked to bring more craft beer to the market, helping to create the space for breweries like us (and all of our awesome friends).

Why is this important?

Simple. Because beer.

(In addition, important work on the Growler Law and Excise Taxes are being tackled by the FBG. Which, in the grand scheme of things, is a bit bigger than beer because, without the work being done to defend breweries, there wouldn’t be good, craft beer available.)

Who’s in it?

  • 50+ breweries spanning the Sunshine State

We’d go into naming them, but if you’re familiar with Florida beer, then you already know the guys and gals we get to now call brothers and sisters in hops.

Like beer? Like the FBG on Facebook.

Take some time to check out their website and learn some more about what craft breweries in Florida are doing. You won’t regret it!
